The AccuProbe Hydrometer is ideally suited to marine aquarium and aquaculture use.
Accurate to +/- 0.001 specific gravity & salinity (PPT) measurements
Dry Hands design avoids contamination of the water sample and takes the water sample from a depth of 150mm avoiding surface sampling.
Each AccuProbe Hydrometer is individually calibrated.
Temperature compensated for water between 20 to 30 Degrees Celsius.
Automatically collects a perfect water sample size.
Self leveling, hanging device included.
Patented Proven design over 10 years. US Patent No. 5631420
Before first use fill with seawater and allow to stand for 24 hours to season the measurement needle.
Slowly submerge hydrometer into the aquarium water until the fill line is reached.
Place hydrometer on a level surface to read scale at pointer tip.
Avoid air bubble adherence to the pointer as this will result in inaccurate higher readings. Tap hydrometer gently with finger to dislodge any air bubbles.
Read SG on inside scale and Salinity (PPT) on the outside scale.
The recommended specific gravity (SG) range for most marine aquariums is 1.020 to 1.023
Rinse with freshwater after use.
